Posted solid quarterly gains

The market finished its third straight quarter in the green territory, with a late-month rebound from disaster-driven panic. Investors remained in a holding pattern during the session focusing on the jobs market and ahead of Friday’s jobs report. Weekly jobless claims fell to 388,000 in the week ended March 26, which was slightly higher than what economists expected. Meanwhile chip sector slipped with Intel which slid 1.4% after price target cut on ‘downticking’ PC trends. Implied volatility inched down on light trading volumes.
